What You'll Do:
- Manage on-prem and cloud database product engineering
- Handle customer escalations
- Stay hands-on with coding, proof-of-concept development, and technical reviews.
- Guide technology selection, platform design, and system integration strategies.
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide detailed technical guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
- Identify and address technical debt and system bottlenecks.
- Drive architectural decisions and ensure high standards of security, scalability, and reliability.
- Preferred candidate worked on database products like Teradata, Oracle, snowflake, DB2 and Netezza
Expertise You'll Bring:
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, including significant architectural leadership.
- Handled > 100 customer escalations
- Worked on database product engineering
- Strong programming background in one or more modern languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go).
- Deep expertise in Linux environments, system internals, and performance optimization.
- Strong knowledge of database design, optimization, and distributed data architectures (SQL and NoSQL).
- Solid foundation in security architecture, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
