The role involves converting manual tests into automated tests using a provided test framework, evaluating and documenting the results, and executing manual software tests while meticulously recording the outcomes. This position is crucial for maintaining high software quality standards and enhancing the efficiency of the testing processRESPONSIBILITY:Designing and executing manual test cases for .NET and web applicationsConverting manual test cases into automated tests using a provided test frameworkEvaluating and documenting test resultsReporting and tracking software defectsCollaborating with developers to understand software requirements and functionalitiesAssisting in the development and maintenance of the test frameworkProviding training and support to new QA team members in IndiaParticipating in reviews and providing feedback on testabilitySupporting the reproduction of customer-reported bugsConducting regular regression testing to ensure software stabilityReviewing and updating test cases to reflect changes in software requirements in close coordination with headquartersPreparing and presenting test reports and reporting back to QA ManagersParticipating in sprint review, planning and retrospective meetingsJOB REQUIREMENTS Experience:Proven experience in designing and executing manual test cases for software applications, particularly in the .NET domain and web applications.Proficiency in reporting and tracking software defects using tools such as Polarion, JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.Collaboration: Experience working closely with developers to understand software requirements and functionalities.Documentation: Strong skills in evaluating and documenting test results, as well as maintaining detailed test documentation.Experience in test automation for PC software.Usage of commercial test frameworks, in paricular TestComplete (SmartBear) and Selenium/CypressExperience in the field of industrial automation, in particular IEC 61131 languages, PROFINET networks, OPC UAEducationA bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.Qualifications At least 1-3 years of experience in QA engineering or software testing, preferably in an Agile or Scrum development processCommitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.Certifications: Relevant certifications in software testing, such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) or CSTE (Certified Software Tester), are highly desirable.Subject Matter ExpertiseProven experience in designing and executing manual test cases for software applications, particularly in the .NET domain and web applications.Experience in test automation for PC software.Experience in the field of industrial automation, in particular IEC 61131 languages, PROFINET networks, OPC UAPractical Skills Proficiency in reporting and tracking software defects using tools such as Polarion, JIRA, or similar.Strong skills in evaluating and documenting test results, as well as maintaining detailed test documentation.Experience working closely with developers to understand software requirements and functionalitiesTechnical SkillsUsage of commercial test frameworksUsage of software programs for industrial automation (e.g. PLCnext Engineer, Siemens TIA, etc.) would be beneficial Usage of commercial test frameworks, in particular TestComplete (SmartBear) and Selenium/Cypress.Experience in using programming languages like Python, C#.Soft SkillsTime Awareness – Reliable adherence to deadlines and efficient task prioritizationQuality Orientation – Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standardsCost Awareness – Sensible use of resources with focus on cost-effective decisionsTeam & Communication Skills – Clear, respectful collaboration across teams and roles
