About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our data team and help build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of SQL, Python, and big data technologies, eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. You will work closely with senior engineers and analysts to ensure data is efficiently processed, stored, and available for business insights.
Key Responsibilities
Data Pipeline Development & Maintenance

  • Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.

  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

  • Develop and maintain data ingestion workflows from multiple sources into data warehouses and lakes.

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems.

Big Data & Cloud Technologies

  • Work with cloud-based data platforms for data storage and processing.

  • Learn and apply big data technologies like Apache Spark, Kafka.

  • Assist in optimizing database performance and query efficiency.

Collaboration & Learning

  • Work closely with data analysts, scientists, and senior engineers to support business intelligence and reporting needs.

  • Document processes, best practices, and improvements for data workflows.

  • Stay up to date with emerging data engineering trends and tools.



RequirementsRequired Skills & Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or software development.

  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.

  • Basic knowledge of Python for scripting and data processing.

  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.).

  • Understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and big data tools is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Willingness to learn new technologies and improve technical skills.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Apache Spark, Kafka, or Airflow.

  • Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.

  • Experience with Git and version control for collaborative development.



Requirements
