About the role


Looking for an experienced ETL Developer with over 5 years of expertise in ETL tools and relational databases, along with proficiency in cloud-native databases, high-volume data ingestion, and programming in Python. The candidate should excel both as an individual contributor and as a collaborative team member, driving ETL best practices.


Key Responsibilities


  • Translating requirements into high level design for transformation
  • Development of ETL pipelines based on the design
  • Develop stored procedures if required to support the ETL pipeline
  • Develop highly optimized queries to ingest data into relational database
  • Develop external code using 4GL programming language including Linux shell scripts
  • Support migration from on-premise to cloud native ETL solution
  • Work within an Agile sprint team


Mandatory Skills


  • ETL Tools IBM DataStage an asset
  • Good knowledge of relational database
  • Knowledge of public cloud
  • Knowledge of real time streaming tools
  • Knowledge of 4gl programing languages


Required qualifications to be successful in this role


  • Computer Science or Engineering Degree.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a ETL Developer using ETL tools
  • 5+ years’ experience working with relational database
  • 3+ years’ experience working with high volume data ingestion
  • 3+ years’ experience working with Cloud native databases and ETL solutions
  • Exposure to fourth generation programing language such as python
  • Capable of working as an individual contributor and as part of an agile team member
  • Motivated individual to drive ETL best practices
