Your day at NTT DATA

The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L2) is a developing engineering role, responsible for providing a managed service to clients to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational.

Through the proactive monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving of technical incidents and problems, the Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L2) is able to restore service to clients.

The primary objective of this role is to proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them without breaching service level agreement (SLA).

The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L2) focuses on second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity and focusses across two or more technology domains - Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications and / or Collaboration etc.

This role may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

Experience designing and building web environments on AWS, which includes working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda, Security Group and auto scalingStorage Management blob / table / file Knowledge of devops tool Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and PrometheusDesigning and deploying enterprise-wide scalable operations on Cloud PlatformsImplementing cost-control strategiesKnowledge of scripting languageGood hands-on experience on installation and configuration of servers/VMs and infrastructure services (DNS/DHCP/File service/ AD etc.)Knowledge of client/server and virtual technologiesProficient on network principles and protocols such as IP subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud, Load Balancer, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN,Knowledge of monitoring tools and reporting.Experience working with some or all technologies below:Windows Server 2012/2016/2019AD/DNS/DHCP/ADFSEnterprise Backup and Storage.Knowledge of backup tool e.g Veritas , Veam , Tape Library Create and update documentation for backup environmentsAdvanced knowledge and experience with tape based backup hardwareExperience with SAN Fabric TechnologiesPerform daily monitoring and management of the backup environmentCreate and provide reports for backup and storage environments, related activities, and tasksMaintain equipment based on SOP's and ensure immediate escalationFile server knowledgeInstall, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software.Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux systems from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry regulations.Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures to minimize data loss and maintain business continuity.Collaborate with software developers and system analysts to troubleshoot and resolve software compatibility issues on Linux platforms.Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat.Proficient in Linux command-line interface (CLI) and shell scripting.Knowledge of linux application e.g Apache, Tomcat, NginxDesign Documentation and ReportingEffective handling of Technical EscalationsTroubleshoot High Severity incidents, problem & provide proper RFO/Root cause analysis and Preventive maintenanceMentor & Hand hold L1/L2 Teams and enhance their performanceAbility to design and manage cloud-based infrastructures to deliver the required performance, security and availability requirements.Creating a cloud productCarrying out disaster recoveryApplying development optimization toolsAutomation of work processes, such as deploymentCreation of various product features and working as multiple profile The ability to conduct testing at different levels and stages of the projectKnowledge of optimization, automation, integration, and productivity toolsA solid background in Linux and Windows server system administration

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

Required Experience:

Moderate level years of relevant managed services experience handling cross technology infrastructure.Moderate level knowledge in ticketing tools preferably Service Now.Moderate level working knowledge of ITIL processes.Moderate level experience working with vendors and/or 3rd parties.
