🚀 About the Role We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance data solutions on the Azure Data Platform. In this role, you will focus on integrating financial data from SAP BW and SAP BFC into Azure, establishing a robust and automated data foundation that supports advanced analytics and AI-driven KPI prediction models. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data pipelines, transformations, and models are reliable, secure, and optimized for performance — driving data-driven decision-making at an enterprise level. 🎯 Key Responsibilities Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load financial data from SAP BW and SAP BFC into Azure using Microsoft Fabric. Use Azure Functions and Kafka for streaming and event-driven architectures, enabling near real-time data ingestion and analytics. Deploy and manage data processing components in Docker containers, ensuring flexibility and scalability across environments. Develop optimized data models for analytical and AI consumption; perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation for quality and consistency. Implement monitoring, alerting, and optimization mechanisms to maintain pipeline performance and reliability. Ensure data governance, security, and compliance with enterprise standards, maintaining data integrity and lineage. Collaborate with data science teams to provide clean, ready-to-use datasets for AI and KPI prediction models. Deliver technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and training sessions for platform handover and sustainability.  🧠 Ideal Candidate Profile Proven experience in Azure Data Engineering and cloud-native data architecture design. Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Functions, Kafka, and Docker Containers. Strong background in data modeling (dimensional & relational), ETL/ELT development, and performance optimization. Familiarity with SAP BW and SAP BFC data structures for seamless source integration. Self-driven, analytical thinker with strong ownership and problem-solving ability. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with business and technical teams.  🧰 Technical Skills Microsoft Fabric (MS Fabric) Azure Functions Apache Kafka Docker Containers Python Data Warehousing & Modeling Data Governance & Security CI/CD, GitHub SAP BW/BFC Data Integration  🎓 Education & Language Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Engineering (Master’s preferred). English proficiency: Bilingual (Fluent in written and spoken English).  🚀 Why Join Us Be a part of a high-impact enterprise data transformation project. Work with cutting-edge Azure technologies and AI-driven analytics platforms. Collaborate with global teams in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment. Opportunity to influence the future of enterprise financial data analytics.
