As we continue scaling our clean energy initiatives, we're looking for a committed and detail-oriented BESS Engineer to drive design, costing, and deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy Battery Energy Storage Systems for various commercial, industrial, and residential applications
  • Prepare complete BOM (Bill of Materials) and detailed design documents across all subsystems (battery packs, BMS, inverter, enclosures, safety components, etc.)
  • Perform pricing analysis, cost structuring, and component-level financial evaluations to support proposals and budgeting
  • Apply principles of Financial Engineering to assess return on investment, lifecycle cost, and system optimization
  • Work on grid integration, battery sizing, and energy management system (EMS) logic
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Design, Sourcing, Sales, Engineering, and Deployment)
  • Lead system simulations and validations using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP, or PVSyst
  • Provide support for field commissioning and post-installation performance assessment.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in BESS, Renewable Energy Systems, or EV Energy Architecture
  • In-depth understanding of:
  • Battery chemistry and BMS architectures
  • BOM-level design detailing
  • Pricing structures and component cost benchmarking
  • Battery pack and enclosure design
  • Strong foundation in financial engineering and cost-performance trade-offs
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (internal & external)
  • Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, ETAP, Excel, and SCADA dashboards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end design and execution of battery energy storage projects

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience in design-to-cost engineering, supply chain planning, or technical sales
  • Exposure to DC fast charging, hybrid energy systems, or smart grid projects
  • Familiarity with national/international grid codes, net metering, and power purchase mechanisms
  • Ability to work independently without much intervention.
