About the Firm Our client is a boutique advisory firm with a strong focus on capital markets, fundraising, private placements, equity advisory, and capital structuring for mid-market corporates and emerging companies. Role Overview Hiring a Partner – Capital Markets for our client based in Mumbai to lead and scale the firm’s capital markets practice in Mumbai. This is a front-facing, high-ownership role , ideal for a senior professional with strong BD capability , deep capital markets understanding, and the hunger to build a practice. No existing book required — but strong BD orientation and relationship-building capability are essential . Key Responsibilities Lead deal origination and actively identify fundraising and capital market opportunities (equity/debt/private placements). Build strong relationships with promoters, CFOs, family businesses, PE/VC funds, lenders, and market intermediaries. Advise clients on capital raising strategies, valuation themes, structuring, and investor positioning. Drive and oversee deal execution—term sheets, diligence coordination, negotiation support. Represent the firm at forums, industry events, and investor interactions. Mentor junior team members and build a strong capital-markets bench. Key Requirements Strong understanding of equity capital markets, private placements, structured finance, or fundraising advisory. Excellent business development instincts —comfort in opening doors, building trust, and converting mandates. Mumbai market network preferred (corporates, investors, family offices). Entrepreneurial mindset + willingness to build something rather than just manage. Senior-level experience in investment banking, ECM, fundraising, corporate finance, or boutique advisory.
