Ruby on Rails Developer

Location:  Remote Experience: 4+ years with ruby on rails We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ruby on Rails Developer with extensive experience in AWS services and system scalability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling high-scale systems, managing background jobs with Sidekiq and Redis, and writing efficient algorithms and scripts. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably with a scaled product or product company Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain robust, scalable applications using Ruby on Rails. Design, implement, and manage AWS services, including EC2, load balancing, RDS, and EBS. Handle high-scale systems with tens of thousands of users and manage background jobs using Sidekiq and Redis. Write efficient algorithms and scripts to automate tasks and improve system performance. Optimize queries in both RDS and NoSQL databases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. Maintain code quality, organization, and automation. Integrate third-party APIs and payment gateways. Perform web scraping tasks as needed. Work with JavaScript and jQuery to enhance application functionality. You Should Apply If You have: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field 4+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development. Strong understanding and hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, load balancing, RDS, EBS). Proven experience in handling systems at scale with tens of thousands of users. Expertise in managing background jobs using Sidekiq and Redis. Strong proficiency in algorithms and writing efficient scripts/code in Ruby. Solid experience with RDS and NoSQL databases, writing optimized queries. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience with JavaScript and jQuery. Experience integrating third-party APIs and payment gateways. Proficiency in web scraping techniques. Nice-to-Have: Experience in a scaled product or product company. Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
