Key Responsibilities: As a member of the airport ground staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of airport operations. Your role will involve providing excellent customer service while ensuring safety, security, and operational procedures are followed. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Customer Service:
    Greeting passengers and assisting them with their queries, check-in procedures, and boarding. You will help passengers with baggage claims, direct them to various airport facilities, and provide them with information regarding flight schedules and delays.
  2. Check-In Assistance:
    Handling passenger check-ins, verifying travel documents, issuing boarding passes, and assisting passengers with seat selections. Ensuring that the check-in process is smooth, efficient, and aligned with company protocols.
  3. Baggage Handling:
    Assisting with the safe loading and unloading of luggage. Ensuring that baggage is properly tagged, securely stored, and handled according to airport and airline regulations.
  4. Security and Safety Procedures:
    Ensuring passengers comply with airport security protocols, including assisting with screening procedures. Enforcing safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for all travelers and airport staff.
  5. Operational Support:
    Coordinating with airline staff, ground handlers, and other airport departments to ensure timely and efficient operations. Helping manage the turnaround of aircraft, including assisting with boarding and deplaning procedures.
  6. Lost & Found Support:
    Assisting passengers who have lost items during their travel and working with the relevant departments to return lost belongings.
  7. Emergency Response:
    Providing assistance in emergency situations, including evacuations or dealing with medical emergencies, according to established safety protocols.
  8. Administrative Support:
    Assisting with paperwork and documentation as required by the airline and airport authorities. Ensuring records are maintained accurately for all ground operations.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Educational Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree in hospitality, tourism, or aviation-related courses will be an advantage.
  • Freshers Welcome: No prior experience is necessary. On-the-job training will be provided to help you succeed in your role.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential as you will interact with passengers, colleagues, and various airport authorities.
  • Customer-Oriented: Must possess a positive attitude and a willingness to assist passengers. Patience and problem-solving skills are key to ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure all processes are carried out accurately and in compliance with safety and security standards.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying baggage, and standing for extended periods.
  • Teamwork: Must be able to work efficiently as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
