Business Analyst – Job Description
Position Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering and documenting client requirements, mapping business processes, creating process diagrams, and maintaining a data dictionary. The role requires exposure to CRM and ERP systems, experience in developing Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), and the ability to conduct unit and acceptance testing.

Additionally, the Business Analyst will be responsible for creating training videos, preparing process documentation, and ensuring that internal project statuses remain up to date. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for collaborating with stakeholders and translating business needs into actionable insights. A basic understanding of Agile methodology is preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirement Gathering & Documentation

    • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to gather and document business and functional requirements.
    • Develop Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirements Documents (FRD).
    • Maintain and update a data dictionary to ensure consistency in terminology and data usage across projects.

  2. Process Mapping & Diagrams

    • Analyze existing business processes and design efficient workflows.
    • Create process maps and diagrams to visualize business operations using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or similar.

  3. System & Data Analysis

    • Ensure requirements align with CRM and ERP systems' capabilities.
    • Identify gaps between business needs and system functionalities.
    • Collaborate with developers and technical teams to ensure proper implementation.

  4. Testing & Quality Assurance

    • Conduct unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system functionality.
    • Identify defects, track issues, and work with the technical team to resolve them.

  5. Training & Documentation

    • Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
    • Create training videos to support end-users in understanding new system functionalities and processes.

  6. Project Coordination & Reporting

    • Keep internal project status updated and documented for management and stakeholders.
    • Track project milestones, risks, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery.

RequirementsKey Requirements:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role or a similar position.

  • Technical & Business Skills:

    • Experience with CRM and ERP systems (Zoho, Salesforce, SAP, etc.).
    • Familiarity with BRD & FRD development.
    • Ability to create process maps, workflows, and diagrams.
    • Strong understanding of data structures and data dictionary management.
    • Exposure to unit and user acceptance testing.
    • Experience in creating training materials and videos.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
    • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Preferred (Not Essential):

    • Basic understanding of Agile methodology.
    • Experience with business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Trello.
