Position: Structural Engineer (Façade Systems)

Location: Mumbai (office-based)

Overview:

We are looking for a Structural Engineer with experience in façade systems to join our technical team in Mumbai. This role will provide structural design support to our UK-based façade installation business (Alufix Facade), contributing to live projects and tender packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide structural input for curtain walling, cladding, rainscreen, and other façade systems
  • Review and analyse structural drawings, calculations, and specifications to support design intent
  • Produce structural calculations and mark-ups for fixing systems, brackets, and supports
  • Coordinate with design teams to ensure structural feasibility and compliance with standards
  • Support with technical submissions and buildability reviews for UK projects
  • Liaise with UK-based project managers and commercial teams as needed

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years' experience in structural engineering with a focus on façade or envelope systems
  • Strong understanding of aluminium, steel, and glass structures in building envelopes
  • Proficient in structural analysis software (e.g. STAAD Pro, SAP2000, Robot, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret architectural and fabrication drawings
  • Experience with UK or European standards preferred (but not essential)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Excellent communication and technical reporting skills
