Data Migration Lead Role :

The Data Migration Lead for the STEP transformation program plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless transfer of data from legacy systems to the new SAP environment.

This role demands a deep understanding of data migration processes, methodologies, and technologies, as well as strong project management skills to oversee the entire data migration lifecycle.

The Data Migration Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance throughout the migration process.

Key Responsibilities :

- Data Migration Strategy Development : Develop and implement a comprehensive data migration strategy, including plans for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

- Project Management : Lead and manage data migration projects, including planning, resource allocation, timeline management, risk assessment, and issue resolution.

- Data Mapping and Transformation : Define data mapping and transformation rules to ensure accurate and efficient data migration from source to target systems.

- Technology Utilization : Leverage various data migration tools and technologies such as SAP Data Services, Informatica, and SQL to facilitate the migration process.

- Data Quality Assurance : Implement data quality checks and validation procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of migrated data.

- Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with IT, business units, and external vendors to coordinate data migration activities, address challenges, and ensure alignment with project goals.

- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed documentation of data migration processes, methodologies, and outcomes.

- Risk Management : Identify potential risks and challenges associated with data migration and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.

- Training and Support : Provide training and support to end-users and team members on data migration tools and best practices
