Job Description
- We are looking for a diligent and strategic Purchase Executive to join our procurement team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, goods, and services, negotiating the best possible terms, and ensuring timely delivery to support our operational needs.
- This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Procurement Operations:
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts in accordance with company policies.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Address and resolve any issues related to delays, quality, or pricing.
- Cost Management:
- Conduct cost analysis to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to achieve best value.
- Monitor procurement budgets and ensure expenditures are within approved limits.
- Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with inventory control and warehouse teams to manage stock levels.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet operational requirements without overstocking.
- Conduct regular audits to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.
- Generate and present procurement reports and analyses to management.
- Market Research:
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging suppliers.
- Assess and recommend new suppliers and alternative materials.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to network and explore new opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal departments to understand and anticipate their procurement needs.
- Coordinate with the finance team to ensure accurate processing of invoices and timely payments.
- Support cross-functional projects and initiatives aimed at improving procurement processes.
