This is a remote position.


We are seeking a dynamic Backend & DevOps Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience to design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable backend systems and robust DevOps pipelines. In this dual role, you will build high-performance APIs and microservices while ensuring seamless integration, continuous deployment, and system reliability. RequirementsKey Responsibilities
  • Backend Development:
    • Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
    • Develop high-performance, scalable backend systems using languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.
    • Integrate with third-party APIs and databases (SQL/NoSQL) ensuring data integrity and performance.
    • Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • DevOps & Infrastructure:
    • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
    • Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes or similar platforms.
    • Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and utilize infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
    • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Collaboration & Process Improvement:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, QA engineers, and product managers to align on project goals.
    • Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and continuously improve development and deployment processes.
    • Contribute to system architecture discussions and provide insights into potential areas for automation and performance optimization.
Requirements

  • Experience:

    • 3–5 years of professional experience in backend development and DevOps engineering.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, Go).
    • Hands-on experience with database systems (both SQL and NoSQL).
    • Solid understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and software development best practices.
    • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.) and version control systems (Git).
    • Expertise in containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
    • Familiarity with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
    • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation tasks.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team.
    • Eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies and methodologies.

  • Educational Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
