Powershell Developer / Windows Server SRE - Financial Services

We're seeking a PowerShell Developer to join a major financial services organisation at the forefront of digital transformation. This is a critical role within a high-performing infrastructure team, where you'll design and implement automation solutions across Windows Server environments, streamline Active Directory operations, and optimise SQL Server integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust PowerShell scripts for system automation and configuration.
  • Support and enhance infrastructure automation across Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
  • Automate and manage Active Directory services, including user provisioning, group policies, and access control.
  • Integrate PowerShell automation with SQL Server – query optimisation, scheduled jobs, data manipulation.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to streamline workflows and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and propose automation strategies aligned with industry best practices.
  • Provide technical documentation and handovers to support teams.

Skills & Experience

  • Expert-level PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
  • Strong background in Windows Server administration.
  • Proven experience managing and automating Active Directory environments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server – T-SQL, stored procedures, job automation.
  • Experience working in regulated environments, ideally in financial services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and Infrastructure as Code is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
