What You’ll Do:Backend Engineering & System Design1. Architect, implement, and scale backend services using NestJS and Node.js2. Design for scale: APIs and systems capable of handling 10k+ RPS, horizontal scaling, anddata partitioning strategies3. Translate product requirements into robust, event-driven, distributed architecturesDatabase & Infrastructure1. Design and optimize both SQL (Postgres/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis) databases2. Drive data modeling, indexing, and query optimization for performance and scalabilityAI-Driven Development1. Use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to accelerate development andmaintain quality2. Integrate AI/ML components into backend workflows (recommendations, personalization,automation engines)3. Drive best practices for AI-assisted engineering workflows, evaluating new tools and scalingadoptionCode Quality & Observability1. Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following SOLID principles2. Implement APMs & monitoring (NewRelic, Datadog, OpenObserve, Prometheus/Grafana) forreal-time insightsOwnership & Reliability1. Own end-to-end delivery of features/modules from design to production monitoring2. Participate in on-call rotations, debugging and resolving live issues under pressureCollaboration & Leadership1. Work closely with Product, Design, Data, and AI/ML teams to deliver end-to-end solutions2. Able to lead a small team (2-4 developers)3. Actively contribute to architecture roadmaps and technical strategyQualifications Required1. Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field2. Experience: 4–6 years in backend development with strong focus on NestJS + Node.js3. Strong fundamentals in Data Structures, Algorithms, OOP4. Proven expertise in system design, distributed systems, and microservices5. Hands-on experience with SQL & NoSQL databases6. Practical knowledge of APMs/monitoring tools (NewRelic, Datadog, OpenObserve, etc.)7. Experience building secure, compliant systems in regulated environments8. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)9. Demonstrated use of AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, Tabnine, etc.) inproduction projectsPreferred Qualifications1. Experience in fintech or regulated, high-compliance systems2. Knowledge of event streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ)3. Familiarity with DevOps & CI/CD pipelines4. Experience integrating AI workflows into production systems5. Strong communication skills — able to articulate technical trade-offs to both engineers andbusiness stakeholders6.
