Job Description:

Pocket FM is seeking a highly detail-oriented German Language Dialogue Editor to join our production team. As a Dialogue Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing and editing raw voice-over recordings delivered by voice-over artists for our audio fiction series and ensuring that the raw recordings match the script. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of audio editing, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality audio content.

Scope of Services:

The Dialogue Editor will perform the following tasks as part of the service agreement:

  1. Voice-over File Review:
  • Review raw voice-over files delivered by voice-over artists for each episode assigned by Pocket FM.
  1. Audio Editing:
  • Edit out mistakes, repetitions, and physical noises from the voice over actor
  • Edit out unnecessary pauses and gaps
  • Ensure that the recording matches the script precisely
  1. CMS System Utilization:
  • Use Pocket FM's CMS system to request edits, track progress, and mark files as 'ready for master' once the audio meets quality standards.
  1. Audio Quality Standards:
  • Listen carefully to tracks to ensure that the volume levels of the speaker are consistent.
  1. Confidentiality and Security:
  • Comply with Pocket FM's confidentiality and security policy by deleting all source materials and final deliverables from your system 30 days after final deliverables are submitted.
  1. Additional Services:
  • Perform any additional tasks or services requested by Pocket FM during the term of this agreement.

Productivity Guidelines:

The following guidelines outline the expected delivery frequency:

  • High Productivity: 15–20 hours of audio reviewed weekly.
  • Average Productivity: 10–15 hours of audio reviewed weekly.
  • Low Productivity: Less than 10 hours of audio reviewed weekly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of dialogue editing and proficiency in using a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to detect even minor issues in raw audio tracks.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Bonus: Knowledge of German language
