Location: Kolkata Job Type: Full-Time Hiring for one of our esteemed clients in Kolkata Contact: / We are currently hiring an experienced Accounts and Finance Specialist for one of our clients. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, well-versed in accounting processes, and capable of supporting financial reporting and compliance activities. Key Responsibilities 1. Accounting & Bookkeeping: Manage accounts payable & receivable (invoicing, collections, subscription payments on credit cards). Reconcile bank statements and ledgers. Prepare and post journal entries and accruals. Maintain accurate financial records. 2. Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Analyze financial performance and variances. Prepare financial statements—Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow. 3. Budgeting & Forecasting: Support budgeting and forecasting activities. Provide financial insights for business decisions. 4. Tax Compliance: Assist in tax filings and audits. Prepare CT600 returns and VAT filings (UK). Advise on tax-efficient strategies (capital allowances, transfer pricing, group relief). Support on capital gains tax and cross-border tax matters. 5. Internal Controls: Support implementation of internal controls. Ensure accurate documentation and authorization of transactions. 6. Additional Responsibilities: Provide ad-hoc financial analysis. Assist with audits and tax-related tasks. Coordinate with other departments on finance-related queries. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (B.Com, BBA, MBA). 1–4 years of experience in finance/accounting roles with overseas clients. Experience in AR/AP functions. Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, cash flow, US Tax, budgeting & forecasting. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle, and MS Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
