Job Description:
As a Sales and Service Engineer, you will be responsible for promoting, selling, installing, maintaining, and servicing laboratory scientific instruments. Your goal is to support existing clients, troubleshoot technical issues, and help expand the customer base by demonstrating the value and functionality of advanced lab equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Responsibilities:
Identify and approach potential customers in academic, research, pharmaceutical, environmental, and industrial labs.
Promote and sell laboratory instruments tailored for pharma R&D, QA/QC, formulation, and production labs
Deliver product presentations and demonstrations.
Provide technical support during the sales process.
Prepare quotations and follow up on sales leads.
Build and maintain relationships with lab managers, QC/QA heads, and procurement teams.
Service Responsibilities:
Install and calibrate laboratory instruments at client sites.
Conduct regular maintenance and performance checks.
Diagnose and repair hardware/software issues.
Provide training to end users on instrument use and maintenance.
Troubleshoot mechanical/electronic/software issues; perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries and service requests.
Skills Required:
Strong understanding of scientific instruments and lab workflows.
Excellent troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
Sales acumen and customer-focused attitude.
Willingness to travel frequently (sometimes with short notice).
Qualifications:
Degree /Diploma in  Engineering ,  Biomedical Sciences ,  Electronics ,  Instrumentation , or a related field.
Experience in laboratory equipment sales or servicing (1–3 years preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Valid driver's license (often required for site visits).
Must have own vehicle
Work Environment:
Combination of client site visits, lab environments.
Frequent travel to laboratories, hospitals, universities, and research centers.
