Job Summary
A welder at 2coms plays a crucial role in maintaining metal structures, tools, and equipment by performing various welding tasks while adhering to strict safety procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of different welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding, as well as manual and mechanical welding skills.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain machines that manufacture and repair metal structures, tools, and equipment through efficient welding and gas cutting tasks.
- Perform any assigned fitting tasks and clear the working area after each job completion.
- Evaluate welded surfaces, structures, and components for errors and adhere to strict safety regulations.
- Monitor machinery usage and temperature while ensuring the work area meets safety requirements.
- Weld components in various positions and practice waste reduction in all aspects of work.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, promoting highest standards of hygiene within the organization.
- Knowledge of various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding.
- Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques.
- Able to carry out jobs independently.
- Trade certificate in welding from a recognized institute.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a welder.
- 3-year contract with the possibility of renewal for another 3 years.
- Increase in wages for a period of another 3 years upon contract renewal.
- Free round-trip airfare (India-Fiji-India) every 3 years.
- Free accommodation in Fiji and free travel to work with food costs borne by the candidate (approximately Rs 5,000 per month).
- Sick leave: 10 days per year.
- Annual leave: 10 days per year along with gazetted holidays listed by the Government of Fiji.
Salary Range: Rs 40,000 to Rs 55,000.
