Animal Care Supervisor

Role DescriptionAs a part of the CSR activity, Proman is looking to hire an Animal Care Supervisor for it's Rescued Stray Dogs facility, at their factory premises in Bidadi. This is a full time, on-site job.The Animal Care Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing animal care operations, ensuring the health and well-being of animals, providing pet care, and performing animal work. Role and responsibility: ·       Oversee the daily operations at the shelter, ensuring the well-being of the animals, and managing shelter staff. ·       Staff Supervision and Training: Leading and training shelter staff and volunteers/interns in animal care, shelter policies, and safety procedures.·       Animal Care Management: Ensuring proper feeding, grooming, and medical care for all animals.·       Facility Maintenance: Maintenance of shelter facilities, including kennels and common areas which fall under the regular hygiene standards.·       Adoption management: Managing adoption processes.·       Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of animal intake, health status, and adoption outcomes.·       Public Relations and Community Outreach: Engaging with the community to promote shelter services, educate the public on animal welfare, and coordinate adoption events.·       Compliance and Safety: Ensuring adherence to local and state Government regulations related to animal care and shelter operations. QualificationsStrong empathy and compassion towards animals (non-negotiable)Animal Care, Animal Health, and Pet Care skillsExperience in Animal WorkLaboratory Skills related to animal careStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBasic Education, with a preference for candidates holding a bachelor's degree in animal science or a related field.Previous supervisory experience in animal care is a plus.Physical requirements may include the ability to lift heavy animals and equipment, as well as the capacity to work in various environmental conditionsAbout Proman Infrastructure Services Pvt.
