Fabra is a new 3D product design tool for physical products. Our platform is web-based, easy to use, and built on product templates, enabling users to create professional designs and transition seamlessly to production. With plans to expand our library to thousands of templates across multiple product categories, we’re on a journey to transform how people design and create physical products.


As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a passionate and talented Freelance 3D Hard Surface Modelling Artist to join our team. Who We Are Looking For:


We are seeking a talented Freelance 3D Hard Surface Modelling Artist with strong expertise in Blender to create high-quality 3D product models. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to translate concepts, sketches, or references into polished 3D assets, production-ready outcomes.


This role is best suited for someone with experience in product design, industrial modelling, or realistic hard-surface assets who can work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain consistent quality.


Responsibilities


  • Model high-quality, realistic 3D hard surface assets (products, mechanical objects, etc.) using Blender.


  • Ensure clean topology, UV unwrapping, and optimized meshes for real-time applications.


  • Apply appropriate texturing and shading techniques for realistic presentation.


  • Collaborate with the team to understand product requirements and adapt designs accordingly.


  • Deliver files in required formats with proper organization and naming conventions.


  • Make revisions based on feedback while adhering to project timelines.


Requirements


  • Proven experience as a 3D Hard Surface Modeler with a strong portfolio showcasing product or hard surface work.


  • Expert-level proficiency in Blender (modelling, shading, rendering).


  • Knowledge of UV mapping, baking, texturing, and PBR workflows.


  • Strong understanding of form, scale, and detail in product visualization.


  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a freelance setting.


  • Good communication skills and responsiveness.


Nice-to-Have


  • Experience with animation or turntable product renders.


  • Knowledge of other 3D tools (Substance Painter, Photoshop, ZBrush, etc.).


  • Background in industrial/product design or CAD-to-3D workflow.


  • Understanding of real-time optimization for AR/VR applications.
