Job Title:

Analog Mixed-Signal (AMS) Verification Engineer

Location : Bengaluru

Experience Required:

5+ years in verification of analog and mixed-signal IPs/SoCs.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior AMS Verification Engineer with deep expertise in mixed-signal functional verification, behavioral modeling, and AMS co-simulation. The candidate will drive verification of complex AMS IPs and subsystems (PLLs, ADCs/DACs, SerDes, LDOs, power management circuits) at both IP and SoC integration levels, working closely with digital and analog design teams to ensure first-time-right silicon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute end-to-end AMS verification plans at block, subsystem, and SoC levels.
  • Develop Verilog-AMS and SystemVerilog RNM models for analog IPs to enable faster top-level verification.
  • Build and enhance UVM-MS based mixed-signal verification environments.
  • Perform co-simulation of analog (SPICE) and digital (SystemVerilog) domains using industry tools.
  • Define and implement assertion-based and coverage-driven verification methodologies for AMS designs.
  • Perform corner case and Monte Carlo verification in collaboration with circuit designers.
  • Debug complex analog/digital interaction issues across process, voltage, and temperature variations.
  • Automate verification workflows using Python, Perl, or TCL scripting.
  • Collaborate with RTL, analog design, DFT, and layout teams for design closure.
  • Support post-silicon bring-up and validation for AMS IPs and subsystems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of AMS verification experience in IP or SoC environments.
  • Hands-on expertise with Verilog-AMS, SystemVerilog, UVM-MS methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of SPICE-level simulation (Spectre, HSPICE, Eldo, FineSim).
  • Experience with AMS co-simulation flows (Cadence AMS Designer, Synopsys VCS AMS, Questa ADMS).
  • Proven experience in developing behavioral/real-number models (RNM) for analog blocks.
  • Good understanding of analog circuit behavior (PLLs, ADC/DAC, SerDes, regulators, power circuits).
  • Strong debugging skills across analog/digital interactions.
  • Proficiency in automation with Python, TCL, Perl, or SKILL.
  • Solid understanding of functional coverage, assertions, and constrained-random verification.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to advanced nodes (7nm, 5nm, FinFET).
  • Knowledge of power intent verification (UPF/CPF).
  • Familiarity with formal verification techniques for AMS.
  • Hands-on with mixed-signal emulation/prototyping.
  • Prior involvement in tapeout and silicon validation.

Educational Qualification:

  • B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or VLSI Engineering
