Primary Responsibilities :

- Work with other Observability Engineers to implement and maintain scalable, reliable, performant, and efficient observability systems.

- Help the team to continuously improve our operating processes.

- Promote observability best-practices to ensure platform resiliency, performance, and cost-optimization.

- Implement observability solutions based on the goals and requirements set forth by leadership, SLI and SLO.

Required Experience :

- At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering.

- At least 2 years of experience programming in TypeScript, Node.js.

- At least 2 years of experience delivering application performance monitoring visualizations with 1 of the following : New Relic (Preference), Data Dog, DynaTrace.

- At least 2 years of experience building application performance monitoring solutions.

- At least 2 years of experience delivering AWS cloud native software.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Additional Skills : Experience in one or more of the following :

- Experience delivering cloud native solutions.

- Experience in :

a. Observability best practices.

b. Application Performance Monitoring using New Relic.

c. AWS Serverless Tech Stack (Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis, SQS).

d. Microservice Architectures.

e. Basic Understanding of SRE concepts, such as Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives.

- Some experience in :

a. Application Testing.

b. DevOps.

c. AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).

d. AWS Management, Security, Scalability, Reliability, Cost Optimization.

Education and Certifications :

- Any AWS Associate Level Certification.

- JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js working experience.
