Fiber Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all permitting activities for fiber deployment projects across multiple regions.
• Interpret and apply local, state, and national regulations related to fiber infrastructure.
• Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure permit requirements are integrated into project plans.
• Track and manage permit applications, timelines, and renewals using internal tools and databases.
• Resolve permitting issues and delays by proactively engaging with stakeholders and proposing solutions.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of permitting guidelines, processes, and regulatory changes.
• Train and support engineering teams on permitting best practices and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in fiber network engineering, with at least 3 years focused on permitting.
• Strong understanding of fiber deployment methods (FTTx, backbone, metro) and associated regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience working with local authorities, DOTs, municipalities, and utility providers.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with NetX,Bluebeam,IKE Office, QuickPole ,GIS tools(QGIS), AutoCAD, and permitting platforms (e.g., Accela, ePermit).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or certifications in project management or regulatory affairs.
• Experience in multi-state or pan-India fiber rollouts.
• Knowledge of environmental, safety, and zoning regulations affecting fiber deployment.
