Investment and Business Analyst – Clean Energy Financing

Role Overview:

We are seeking a driven, analytical Investment and Business Analyst (ideally Pre-MBA) with 2–4 years' experience in investment banking, venture capital, or management consulting. While prior clean energy or infrastructure experience is an advantage, it is not mandatory. The role is generalist in nature, and the successful candidate will work on a broad range of assignments such as process improvement, change management, investments, performing rigorous financial analysis, market research, and stakeholder presentations. As a key member of our lean team, you will report directly to the CEO and work closely with firm leadership, gaining exposure to all aspects of a Financing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and analyse potential investment opportunities across diverse clean energy sectors, supporting due diligence, financial modelling, and market research
  • Build and maintain financial models and conduct valuation analyses to support investment decisions
  • Prepare clear, compelling investment memos, presentations, and materials for both internal committees and external stakeholders
  • Perform market, industry, and competitor research in existing and new sectors, synthesizing insights for decision-making
  • Support the end-to-end investment process, including deal execution, monitoring, and portfolio management activities
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO/CIO and other senior leaders, contributing to firm strategy, thought leadership, and business development initiatives
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Analyze current operations, identify opportunities for efficiency, and recommend strategies to optimize business systems and processes
  • Support adoption of new systems, processes, or technologies by leading training, managing expectations, and ensuring smooth transitions

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field with strong academic performance
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, consulting, or venture capital/private equity
  • High level of proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing professional presentations and reports
  • Demonstrated research and analytical abilities, with sound business judgment and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented, deadline-driven setting
  • Motivation to learn about and work on investments that support the energy transition and sustainability
  • Clean energy or infrastructure investing experience is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Pre-MBA candidate preferred; CFA progress or related qualifications are a plus but not required
