ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement database solutions using Azure SQL Database and SQL Server.

Migrate on-premises SQL Server databases to Azure SQL Database.

Optimize database performance, query tuning, and indexing.

Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies for Azure SQL Database.

Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate measures.

Collaborate with development teams to understand data requirements and translate them into database solutions.

Develop and maintain database documentation and standards.

Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in database administration and development using SQL Server and Azure SQL Database.

Strong T-SQL programming skills, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views.

In-depth knowledge of database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization techniques.

Experience with database migration projects.

Understanding of cloud computing concepts and Azure platform.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in Azure Database Administration or SQL Server.

Experience with Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools.

Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
