Identify the training needs, schedule the training and impart training to staff, visitors, sub-contractors and workmen. Monitor the compliance of legal requirements at worksite. Conduct and participate in the EHS committee activities. Prepare of EHS risk assessment and facilitate safe operating procedures. Prepare site emergency response plan and conduct periodic mock drill at sites. Conduct periodical inspection of sites, labor camps, site offices and site stores, identify the safety issues, analyze the incident trends and initiate necessary corrective and preventive action at site. Closely co-ordinate with P&M team for periodical inspection of all equipment at site. Review and appraise site EHS performance and facilitate for improvement. Work in coordination with the project team. Facilitate the implementation of work permit system. Update the site-specific SOP's to meet the site-specific requirements. Preparation of site EHS statistics and reporting it to Cluster EHS Manager/ Coordinator on a weekly or monthly basis. Timely reporting of EHS deviations to project manager for continual improvement. Organize campaigns, competition and other special emphasis programs to promote EHS at workplace. Implement the Digital Initiatives. Inspection of fire extinguishers on a periodical basis.

Technical Expertise:

Profound knowledge in basic electrical, civil and mechanical concepts. Knowledge on ISO 14001:2015 and IS 45001:2018 standards. Trained in the Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Aspect Impact Assessment. Auditing skills. Technical knowledge on lifting tools and tackles, Plant and Machinery. Ability to provide effective training. Ability to execute safety measures in case of any discrepancies. Good Oral / Written communication skill in English.

Operating network:

Internal : Project Manager, Section In charge, Cluster EHS In charge, BU EHS Head, Safety Stewards.

External:  Sub Contractors, Clients, Vendors, Workmen, Legal Authorities and Local Disaster Management Authority, Local community.

Key performance indicators: 

Zero fatality at site. Achieving Awards. Maintaining track of safety audits and inspections. Being accountable for mitigating safety hazards. Quality of training imparted at site. Timely reporting of EHS deviation to Project manager/ Cluster EHS Manager. Reporting of incident should be as per the communication protocol set by HQ.
