Our product combines an AI co-pilot (ProcureBot) with a deep integration engine (FlowMesh) to automate procurement and supply-chain tasks end-to-end.We are looking for a Backend Engineering Intern who can build reliable, scalable backend systems and support basic AI request-processing in our multi-user platform. You will work closely with our AI Lead and contribute to core product features.This role focuses mainly on backend engineering, with light AI interaction (sending queries, processing responses, storing context).What You Will Work OnBuilding backend APIs and services for multi-user applicationsImplementing user and session management, authentication and authorizationCreating endpoints that interact with AI models and process responsesIntegrating vector databases for basic search and retrievalBuilding microservices and containerizing them with DockerSupporting real-time workflows using event-driven architectureWorking with SAP integration experts to connect backend with SAP APIs and IDocsParticipating in system design discussions and delivering POCsRequired SkillsStrong Python or Java backend development skillsExperience building APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Spring BootUnderstanding of authentication (JWT, OAuth2, sessions)Experience with Docker and microservicesBasic knowledge of how to interact with LLMs via API callsBasic vector database experience (storing and querying embeddings)Understanding of transformers at a conceptual levelNice To HaveReactJSKafka or PulsarSAP/ERP integration curiosityBasic knowledge of caching, rate-limiting, or performance tuningWhat You Will GetDaily mentorship from AI and SAP expertsReal-world backend engineering experienceOpportunity to work on production features from day oneOwnership and responsibility for core backend modulesLive video coding sessions as part of the evaluation and onboardingPossibility of transitioning into a full-time roleStarting Salary 8K for 40H work week
