Mathematics Subject Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Math Assessment Subject Matter Expert (SME) to author high-quality math assessment items, such as Number Lines, Coordinate Graphs, and Shading for grades 3 through 8.
This role requires expertise in U.S. math curriculum, strong assessment writing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
● Demonstrate deep knowledge of math content and pedagogy across grades 3–8, with
an emphasis on number lines, graphing on coordinate planes, and shading strategies.
● Ensure mathematical accuracy and grade-level appropriateness in all authored items.
● Apply a clear understanding of how students at various grade levels interact with visual
mathematical representations.
● Work efficiently and independently within assigned batches to meet deadlines.
● Collaborate with a U.S.-based lead for feedback and clarification as needed.
● Follow all documentation and alt text protocols to maintain quality and compliance.
Qualifications:
● Strong content knowledge in U.S. Math (Grades 3–8), including number lines, coordinate
graphing, and shading techniques.
● Familiarity with assessment design principles and age-appropriate difficulty progression.
● Ability to write clear, concise alt text for visual math items.
● High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
● Self-motivated, with excellent time management skills.
● Strong communication and collaboration abilities, even across time zones.
