PURPOSE
This position is responsible for managing day-to-day engineering operations across hospitality assets. The incumbent ensures smooth functioning of all technical systems, regulatory compliance, preventive maintenance, energy efficiency, and team performance. The role also contributes to guest satisfaction and operational excellence through strategic planning, training, and disciplined execution of engineering processes.

Internal - Managers, Supervisors, Staff and Contractual Staff
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Driving Operational Excellence
• Lead day-to-day engineering operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all systems and guest comfort.
• Implement preventive and routine maintenance schedules for electro-mechanical and civil infrastructure.
• Monitor utility consumption (HLP), ensure energy efficiency, and maintain CAM cost discipline.
• Ensure timely renewal of statutory licenses, upkeep of machine rooms, and adherence to engineering SOPs.
Applied Learning
• Conduct department-level technical and safety training, including DuPont-based practices.
• Coordinate documentation and retention of records as per audit and operational standards.
• Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
• Promote eco-friendly practices and awareness among team members.
People Management
• Supervise technical teams, assign responsibilities, and track daily performance.
• Support HR in hiring, onboarding, and skill-building initiatives for engineering roles.
• Motivate and engage staff through recognition programs and team briefings.
• Maintain a culture of accountability, safety, and professionalism within the department.
Business & Financial Acumen
• Track engineering expenses, highlight deviations, and ensure budget adherence.
• Recommend cost-effective procurement of services, parts, and technical equipment.
• Review and submit monthly reports, utility analysis, and variation reports to seniors.
• Evaluate and support capital expenditure proposals related to engineering upgrades.
Leadership & Executive Presence
• Represent Engineering in management meetings and collaborate with other departments.
• Handle guest/resident technical complaints with professionalism and promptness.
• Ensure participation in audits, reward programs, and company-wide initiatives.
• Uphold brand image through consistent service quality and stakeholder communication.
Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities
• Implement HSSE practices and ensure systematic risk assessment and mitigation.
• Train staff in fire safety, first aid, hazard awareness, and emergency procedures.
• Investigate and log incidents; implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure audit compliance and readiness of Local Management System (LMS).
QUALIFICATIONS
B.E. / B-Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
WORK EXPERIENCE
8-10 years of relevant experience in hospitality or real estate engineering operations
