We're looking for a skilled and motivated SDET to join our AI team, focusing on testing and validating cutting-edge features like prompt engineering, generative AI , and more. This is a QA-focused role dedicated to ensuring the quality and reliability of AI/ML-driven products.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of experience (up to 7 in exceptional cases), a strong grasp of software testing fundamentals—ideally shaped by experience in a larger or structured company —and a flexible, startup-ready mindset .

Key Responsibilities

• Test Design & Execution
• Design, develop, and execute test plans and cases for AI-driven features (LLMs, prompt-based systems, generative models).
• Apply core testing methodologies (e.g., boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning) for comprehensive coverage.
• Identify and test edge cases and failure scenarios in complex AI workflows.

Test Automation

• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using JavaScript/TypeScript with Playwright.
• Automate regression, API, and E2E tests for AI-driven products.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).

AI-Specific QA

• Develop test strategies tailored to AI/ML features, including testing LLM responses and evaluating prompt consistency.
• Validate model output quality, performance, and reliability.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work cross-functionally with developers, data scientists, and product managers to ensure testability and quality from the ground up.
• Clearly communicate test coverage, risks, and results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ownership & Problem-Solving

• Own quality for the AI team's features and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
• Troubleshoot test failures, isolate bugs, and ensure timely fixes across the stack.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Experience: 3–6 years in software testing and automation. (Up to 7 years for strong IC candidates—this will be clarified in the intro call.)
• Automation Skills: Strong in test automation using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Fundamentals: Solid understanding of QA principles, shaped by experience in mid-to-large tech companies.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly and work in a fast-paced, startup-style team environment.
• API Testing: Hands-on experience with REST API testing and contract validation.
• CI/CD Integration: Familiarity with GitHub Actions or similar for automated test pipelines.
• Communication: Clear, concise communicator, able to work cross-functionally with diverse teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience testing generative AI or LLM-based features.
• Exposure to prompt engineering or agentic workflows.
• Familiarity with additional scripting languages or test tools.
• Startup experience (a plus, not required).
