Role Overview: We are looking for a talented and visionary Senior Fashion Designer to join our team in Bengaluru. This exciting role involves leading design initiatives for couture bridal wear. Key Areas of Expertise: Lead a team of designers specializing in: Value addition techniques like beadwork, embroidery, fabric manipulation, and printing for couture gowns. Couture accessories such as veils, sashes, capes, and bags. Guide the team in developing seasonal collections for both value-added couture elements and accessories. Oversee the execution of client orders, ensuring their requirements are met with precision. You will manage the entire design process, from conceptualization to production, ensuring all designs adhere to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop and lead innovative design concepts, with a focus on detailed wedding gowns, veils, and accessories. Conduct research on emerging fashion trends and introduce fresh design ideas to keep us ahead in the bridal couture industry. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with production requirements and deadlines. Supervise and manage the workflow of the design team to ensure efficiency and top-quality results. Stay updated on design trends, offering expert advice on fabric selections, embellishments, and construction techniques. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Design or a related field. BDes or MDes At least 5 years of experience in fashion design, with a preference for experience in couture bridal wear. In-depth knowledge of current fashion trends, design principles, and high-end garment construction techniques. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Fluency in both written and spoken English. Ability to quickly adapt to changes in design and production processes. Expertise in sketching and creating detailed designs. A strong understanding of garment fit and construction.
