Alt Carbon was started by sibling tea planters Shrey and Sparsh Agarwal, in order to rescue their family's tea estate from being at-risk of climate impact to becoming the frontier of climate action.

About the team

This internship is for a newly formed, 'Climate Studio' team at Alt Carbon, in Bangalore. We have classic 0-1 problems to solve. Climate change is real. We're on a mission to remove 5 million tonnes of CO2 by 2030. Every organisation must play its part to meet net-zero emissions by 2050. We're looking for folks who are determined to create impact with the work they do.

We're a small and growing team of creators and doers. From folks who love reading SciFi, History, art, and playing a range of sports, we have it all. If you're up for some good Darjeeling tea, exhibit high-agency, this role is for you.

About the role

The Illustration Designer intern will report to our Creative Director. This is a hands-on role, and will involve setting the design style and tempo for Alt Carbon across all external facing channels — from website, social media posts, pitch decks, posters, big ticket campaigns, and offline events.

The ideal candidate should have a distinct illustration style and a portfolio of work to exhibit different style types.

What you will do

  • Ensuring consistency and quality of visual communication across all our external channels.
  • Creating a design style - from logos, fonts, graphics/illustrations, typography, and choosing a design language. These guidelines form the bedrock of all marketing design
  • Creating animations and illustrations that help us stand out - website, social media images, infographics
  • Create high fidelity website illustrations creatives on social media

What you will need

  • A strong portfolio of illustrations to show varied work
  • A body of work showcasing work setting up a design style
  • Hands-on experience in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma)
