The Role

The Strategic Analyst will be an essential member of our team, responsible for providing the data-driven insights and strategic analysis needed to build our new cables and conductors vertical. This is a hands-on, analytical role focused on supporting the leadership team by developing the business plan, conducting deep market research, and shaping our go-to-market strategy. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of corporate strategy and a passion for building new ventures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Support: Support the development of a comprehensive business plan for the new cables and conductors vertical, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify target customer segments, market gaps, and key industry trends.
  • Go-to-Market Analysis: Analyze potential product portfolios, pricing strategies, and distribution channels to inform the go-to-market plan.
  • Data Modeling & Financial Projections: Develop financial models and forecasts to support the business case and long-term growth strategy.
  • Company Valuation & Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis and company valuation to assess potential acquisition or partnership opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, marketing, and operations teams to gather data and ensure strategic recommendations are grounded in operational realities.
  • Presentation & Communication: Assist in preparing presentations and reports to communicate key findings and recommendations to the executive leadership team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, with a focus on market entry strategy, business development, or corporate strategy projects.
  • Industry Expertise: A strong interest in and foundational knowledge of the industrial sector of metals and mining. Experience of cables and conductors market is a plus.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Metallurgical Engineering from a Tier-1 college in India is required, and an MBA from a Tier-1 college in India is also required.
  • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear, strategic recommendations.
  • Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to create clear, concise presentations and reports.
  • Problem-Solving: A creative and analytical approach to solving complex business problems.
