Position: AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Job Overview: As an Automation Engineer at Southern Automation, you will play a crucial role in designing, programming, and implementing automation systems for industrial control processes. This includes working on PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) development, and integrating various control system components

Responsibilities:

  • 3 - 5 years Experience with Siemens / Allen Bradley PLC, HMI & SCADA Programming
  • PLC, HMI & SCADA Software Development for an equipment or process with Flow, Pressure, Vibration, Temperature and Control Valves.
  • Develop project Hardware configuration & control architecture, integration of various devices in the project.
  • Developing of Sequence of operation & testing of machine or process
  • Designing and testing automation equipment and processes.
  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams for automation systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for automation systems, including system architecture, functional specifications, and user manuals.
  • PLC/HMI trouble shooting support and Commissioning support.

Skills Required

  • Familiar with Siemens / Allen Bradley PLC, HMI & SCADA Programming
  • Should have wide knowledge on process flow and development.
  • Familiar with System Architecture, panel drawings, cable schedules, plant layouts, P&ID
  • Familiar with communication protocols such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, DNP3.0, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet IP, etc
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, such as Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams, and Structured Text
  • Debug and Commissioning of PLC Systems and HMI systems,Configuring and Installation of VFD's
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Communication Skill
  • Candidates with Minimum 7 Years experience in Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC, HMI & SCADA.
  • Qualification Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering
