Roles and Responsibilities:

Audit & Compliance:

Lead internal and statutory audits by preparing documentation and resolving audit queries efficiently.

Ensure adherence to financial controls and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Assist with external due diligences, providing accurate data and addressing any issues that arise.

Month-End Closing:

Oversee accurate and timely month-end closing processes, including account reconciliations, schedule preparation and correct provisions & calculations.

Review account reconciliations and roll-forwards prepared by the team to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Ensure timely preparation and submission of all month-end financial reporting & MIS.

Tax & payroll compliances (TDS, GST & PF, ESI, LWF):

Ensure timely and accurate filing of TDS and GST returns.

Manage tax assessments and audits for TDS and GST, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Oversee compliance with Labour-related regulations, including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), and Labour Welfare Fund (LWF).

Stay abreast of changes in tax laws (direct, indirect, and international taxation) and ensure the company's compliance.

Provide expertise in structuring transactions to align with applicable tax laws.

Process Improvement:

Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvements, focusing on simplification, standardization, and optimization of financial operations.

Support the implementation of ongoing process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills

Chartered Accountant (CA) with up to 2 years of relevant experience.

In-depth knowledge of TDS, GST and other Indian taxation laws

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Proficiency in financial software and advanced knowledge of Excel and analytical tools (eg. Power BI).

Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or collaboratively as the situation requires.

Proficiency in Zoho Books will be an added plus

Preferably worked previously in a product-led organization and have contributed in building/designing the system and/or workflows.
