Run Maharashtra’s Grape Engine | Lead Vineyard Execution Across Nasik


We’re building India’s first AI-powered gig engine for farm labour—starting with grapes, the backbone of Nasik’s economy. To power this engine, we’re hiring a Senior Agronomist - Grapes to professionalise vineyard execution across 10,000+ acres and scale precision operations from crop planning to post-harvest.


Your mission: make SOPs work on the ground at scale—so every labourer, every day, delivers with speed, discipline, and export-grade quality.


What You’ll Lead

  • End-to-End Vineyard Engine: Run the full cycle—pruning to harvesting—across Nasik’s vineyards.
  • SOP Design & Execution: Write and enforce sharp SOPs for foundation and forward pruning.
  • Labour OS Alignment: Convert crop calendars into daily labour demand and hit 100% fulfilment with our gig marketplace.
  • Labour Training & Certification: Build and certify skill pathways for mukadams and crews—pruning, thinning, girdling, bagging, bunch management, GAP compliance.
  • Ops Rigour: Track every plot via checklists, dashboards, and WhatsApp reporting; build a culture of ruthless follow-through.
  • Compliance & Quality: Enforce MRL thresholds, GLOBALG.A.P. protocols, and packhouse readiness for exports.
  • Innovation Pipeline: Trial and operationalise new agronomy practices (CPPU, regenerative inputs, biologicals) into scalable SOPs.
  • Team Leadership: Build a lean, high-performing team of field officers & ops coordinators across 8–10 talukas.
  • Tech Feedback Loop: Work with AI, product, and data teams to digitise playbooks and scale what works.


What We’re Looking For

  • MSc/PhD in Horticulture, Viticulture, or Agronomy.
  • 5+ years of vineyard ops with proven yield and export outcomes.
  • Deep expertise in grape physiology, canopy microclimate, PGRs, pest/disease management, and labour execution.
  • Relentless executor—can command farmers, contractors, and labour crews to deliver SOPs.
  • Fluent in Marathi & English; able to build trust across growers and field teams.
  • Digital mindset—comfortable with Excel, ERP logs, WhatsApp workflows, dashboards.
  • Willing to spend majority of the month on-ground across Nasik.
