Role PurposeAs a Study Abroad Counsellor at GEA, you will guide prospective students and their families through every step of their overseas education journey. You will be the trusted advisor who unlocks global opportunities and ensures a seamless, high-quality experience for our clients.We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about helping students achieve their dreams of studying abroad — someone who values service excellence, enjoys meaningful interactions with students and parents, and takes pride in delivering outcomes that truly make a difference. Key AccountabilitiesManage your student pipeline end-to-end — from initial enquiry to final enrolment — ensuring timely updates, documentation accuracy, and proactive follow-ups.Deliver exceptional service and satisfaction to students, parents, and partner institutions through consistent communication, professionalism, and empathy.Participate actively in lead-generation and outreach activities, including student events, institutional visits, and referral programs.Collaborate with admissions, operations, and partner relations teams to streamline processes, share insights, and ensure an integrated student journey.Promote all GEA services and offerings across destinations and programs, ensuring awareness of opportunities for both students and partners.Monitor and achieve assigned student enrolment targets while maintaining high service quality standards.Maintain detailed records of student interactions, applications, and outcomes, and contribute to continuous process improvement within the counselling function.Required Experience & SkillsA Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Business, Psychology, Education, or a related discipline.1–5 years of experience in a Study Abroad Counselling or similar advisory role.Multi-destination experience (both established and emerging markets) and familiarity with international admission and entry requirements is a plus.Any prior premium counselling experience will be an advantage.Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build trust with students and parents.Excellent interpersonal, multitasking, and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on responsiveness and reliability.A genuine passion for student counselling, service quality, and success delivery — driven by the satisfaction of helping students achieve their academic goals.
