Indirect Tax

Job Purpose :To ensure the timely completion of all tax compliances and accurate advise to business on various Tax and Transfer Pricing matters.Key Accountabilities :1. Tax Advisory & ResearchConduct in-depth research on complex tax advisory and transfer pricing issues.Provide tax opinions to internal and business stakeholders regarding changes in business models.Liaise regularly with tax consultants for advisory on tax matters.2. Tax Compliance & ReportingEnsure timely and accurate direct tax compliances including:Tax returnsTransfer pricing compliancesTax auditsVarious certificationsAssist corporate tax department with:Business restructuringTax planning initiativesTax compliance requirementsComply with Tax dashboard requirements and review documentation for Management Discussion & Analysis.3. Tax Representation & LitigationManage tax representations before tax authorities.Liaise with tax consultants regarding:Tax representationsTax litigations4. Transfer Pricing DocumentationCompile, review, and coordinate with auditors for:Transfer pricing documentationTax audit processesReview data for transfer pricing assessments and assist corporate tax team and consultants as needed.5. Process Management & Quality ControlEnsure process adherence and efficiency across the Direct Tax department.Drive process rigor and monitor quality through random checks of tax computations and returns.Drive standardization, simplification, and best practice sharing across all processes and businesses.Review and suggest improvements in tax processes.6. Team Collaboration & LeadershipCultivate a strong team culture and maintain effective working relationships.Proactively support the Tax Head and business functions.7. Technology & InnovationLead and support implementation of technology solutions in tax operations.EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:▪ Chartered AccountantRELEVANT EXPERIENCE:▪10-15 years of relevant taxation experience (CA)▪Desirable – Experience in corporate tax department of large business house or Big4
