Position : Finance controller

Qualification : CA with Big Four Audit experience. 15- 20 years post qualifications expereince.

Key Purpose / Areas of Responsibility

Key Purpose of Role:  

The Finance controller is primarily tasked with overseeing the India & GDC Finance and Compliance functions.  The role provides leadership within the MEs for tax, treasury, business planning, accounting, budgeting and risk management and is a key member of the India Finance leadership team.

Areas of Responsibility:

FP&A

•    Management of India MTP (5-year planning) and annual budget process 

•    Management of the month end process in cooperation with the India based Shared Service team

•    Management reporting

•    Monthly forecasting and business reviews

•    Cost monitoring and management of variances

•    Monthly Balance Sheet review

•    Financial Management of ongoing contracts

•    Partner with R&D to optimise the financial monitoring of projects

•    Partner with R&D to optimise and automate the internal billing process

•    Support new business and business developmental activities

•    Manage or support adhoc activities and APAC projects

Regulatory / Compliance

•    Tax management for the Indian legal entity

•    Internal and external audit compliance

•    Statutory compliance, licensing and insurances for the Region

•    Compliance with internal control mechanisms 

•    Drive the ongoing improvement of Finance systems

•    Compliance with Landis+Gyr global policies, procedures, practices and guidelines including Code of Business Conduct and Ethics

Fiscal Management

•    Tax management for the Indian legal entity

•    Treasury and Cash management and maintaining the banking relationship

•    Identify and deliver opportunities for earnings improvements

•    Consolidate APAC management reporting including commercial and business commentary and analyses and provide guidance for future planning

•    Manage ad hoc reporting to APAC HO and Global HO  

Key Metrics

•    Financial reporting for APAC to agreed business requirements in terms of relevance, accuracy, and timeframes

•    MTP Budget and forecast processes to agreed business requirements and all financial data 

•    All required compliance requirements under immediate accountability are met both internally within Landis+Gyr and externally with all governmental and regulatory bodies

•    Audits process actions under immediate accountability are actioned
