Details:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary GCP Data Architect with 8+ years of expertise in designing and implementing robust, scalable data architectures on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of GCP services, including batch and real-time data processing, and a proven ability to lead end-to-end data solution designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the implementation of data architecture strategies using GCP services to meet business and technical requirements.
  • Architect and optimize scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
  • Design solutions for large-scale batch processing and real-time streaming, leveraging tools like Dataproc for distributed data processing.
  • Establish and enforce data governance, security frameworks, and best practices for data management.
  • Conduct architectural reviews and performance tuning for GCP-based data solutions, ensuring cost-efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and deliver innovative data solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership to engineering teams and ensure adherence to architectural principles.

Required Skills:

  • Strong expertise in GCP services: Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing data processing frameworks for ETL/ELT, batch, and real-time workloads.
  • In-depth understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed data processing using tools like Dataproc and Spark.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and modern data engineering practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices on GCP.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to guide teams and engage stakeholders.
