We are looking for an engineer who understands how to design & communicate about hardware that flys.Contribute to all 3D modelling initiatives at Agnikul starting from design for manufacturing to qualifying manufacturing processesCreate fabrication and installation drawingsCreate GD&T, and tolerance/stack-up analysis.Optimise modelling for manufacturing with less cost, least lead time and lowest mass of material usagePlan modelling for CNC & other machining techniques by studying & creating work orders, engineering plans, material specifications, drawings, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters;Implement a maintainable and lasting modelling version controls system of reasonable and powerful requirementsManage large CAD assemblies and associated drawings BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline2+ years on the floor of a design and drawings department in a manufacturing shop in a company in the manufacturing sector1+ years of experience leading design or manufacturing teamsExpertise in design for manufacturability and design for assembly, successfully taking products through development, testing, and productionMust be able to work extended hours or weekends as needed PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEA thorough understanding and real world knowledge of design, assembly and manufacturing processes and part integrationExperience and skill to read, interpret, and follow mechanical drawingsAble to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced work environmentExtraordinary attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracyExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to deliver against an aggressive scheduleExperience with ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, Y14.41 drafting standardsSolid understanding of common manufacturing materials, GD&T, and tolerance/stack-up analysis.Location Chennai, IndiaEmployment Type Full Time
