The GBP Business Line needs experienced and detail-oriented Engineers to support Pyro services division on Engineering & data Migration of various Pyro Equipment like Burners, Rotary Kilns, Sintering Kilns etc. We are looking for dedicated professionals who have a strong Engineering knowledge in the field of Burner Engineering to work closely with the Global Engineering Team and Global Product Line Teams to drive the harmonization and globalization of our technical documentation.

The candidate will be part of the Pyro GBP SVS Engineering Team based in Vadodara, Gujarat, supporting multiple projects of industrial combustion equipment including the burners, fuel valve trains and BMS. The role of Combustion Systems Engineer is to work as part of the GBP Global Product Engineering team supporting pyro products and projects. You will support product development and project execution with specification, design, installation, and commissioning of industrial combustion equipment for mining equipment like burners, fuel valve trains and BMS (Burner management Systems).

The successful candidate must be proactive and able to demonstrate the ability to work independently, but also in a team orientated environment. Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

What you'll do

Execute project on the Global Engineering Guidelines Align with the Global GBP Project Engineers, Metso Business Lines and Corporate Policies on priorities. Support the Standardization & Productization initiatives as prioritized by Product Line Management. Experience supervising installation and commissioning activities in an industrial environment. B usiness engagement to improve governance, Work in close collaboration with Engineering Product line. Prepare project PFDs and P&IDs. Preparation of GA drawings, Detail Drawing and as Built Drawing for Pyro equipment Highlight engineering issues or road blocks and work towards resolution to deliver project on time Basic design calculations. Prepare project specifications and data sheets for package equipment. Prepare quality plans and equipment ITPs. Prepare valve and instrument lists for package equipment. Prepare functional design specifications for package control/safety systems. Prepare technical installation, operation, and maintenance manuals. Prepare commission and start-up procedures and check sheets. Specification of all materials and services. Technical and commercial evaluation of supplier proposals.

Who you are

Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering discipline. Applicants with significant experience (around 8-10+ years) in field of Pyro Equipment Engineering from reputed companies would be preferred.

Technical Competencies:

Expertise in 2D & 3D drafting and GD&T.  Quality & On time delivery mindset Must have knowledge on Autodesk EDM Vault Solutions, SAP, PDM, PLM, Autodesk Inventor etc. Ready to kick start from day one. Knowledge and experience with iron ore pelletizing plant, lime plant or other industrial pyro processing applications would be a significant advantage. Knowledge of international codes and standards. Prior experience of Kiln systems, combustion equipment, Pre-heaters in an industrial environment would be an added advantage. Knowledge of international codes and standards would be a significant advantage. Knowledge of Hot kiln alignment., Kiln girth gear alignment.  Repair and replacement of Kiln & Ball mill equipment  Competent problem solver with sound understanding of engineering principles. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization, and externally with suppliers and end users. Flexibility to work outside standard hours when necessary to achieve objectives. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint Implementation of Design change request and updating of ISO Formats for design dept. Maintaining and updating the ISO formats. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint Knowledge of industrial manufacturing techniques, including fabrication, casting, machining etc. Experience in handling pyro equipment is a must.
