Location: Various sites across the UK

Salary Range: £27,000 – £34,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Role Overview

This is a hands-on role for experienced solar PV rooftop installers with strong technical skills in mounting system installation. You'll be on the roof, working with tools daily — not sitting in an office or supervising from the ground. You will also need to drive a medium-sized panel van to transport equipment and tools to various project sites.

Key Responsibilities

  
•  Install and secure solar PV mounting systems (rails, clamps, brackets) on pitched and flat roofs, including tile, slate, and metal sheet types. Should     be able to do In roof and on the roof solar panel system installation work including Ven der valk kit installation.

  
•  Carry out roof surveys, measurements, and layout marking as per project drawings.

  
•  Use specialist tools to fit brackets and rails while maintaining watertight roof integrity.

  
•  Operate and maintain hand and power tools effectively and safely.

  
•  Work at height in all weather conditions, following UK HSE safety regulations.

  
•  Drive a medium-sized van to deliver tools and materials to site.

  
•  Collaborate with electricians for solar panel placement and final wiring.

  
•  Complete all work to high quality standards with attention to detail.

  
•  Travel to different locations in the UK as part of a mobile installation team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  
•  Hands-on installation experience — minimum 1–2 years fitting rooftop solar PV mounting systems.

  
•  Ability to work confidently with UK-style pitched roofs (tile, slate) or willingness to adapt quickly.

  
•  Comfortable using drills, grinders, torque wrenches, ladders, and safety harness systems.

  
•  ITI/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or similar trade OR Suryamitra Solar PV Technician certificate.

  
•  Physically fit and able to work at height.

  
•  Full, valid driving licence (India or International) and ability to drive a medium-sized van.

  
•  Good spoken English for site communication.

Preferred Experience

  
•  Familiarity with international mounting brands (Schletter, K2, Clenergy, etc.).

  
•  Experience in both residential and commercial PV projects.

  
•  Health & Safety training and work-at-height certification.
