Job Description:Job Title: Azure Data ArchitectLocation: Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur Experience required: 12+ yearsRole Overview:We are seeking a highly experienced senior data architect to design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance data architectures that support our enterprise data initiatives. The ideal candidate should bring strong expertise in SQL, ETL/ELT, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, medallion architecture, and data pipeline engineering. Experience in data visualization, DevOps, and modern cloud-based data platforms is essential. This role requires strong leadership to manage the successful delivery of multiple data projects and provide technical guidance to data engineering teams. In addition, the role requires active participation in pre-sales activities such as developing technical proposals, responding to RFPs, creating SOWs and estimations, and presenting solutions to senior leadership and customer stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Architect end-to-end data solutions using modern cloud data platforms, especially Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse Analytics.Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple data projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and quality standards.Lead the design and development of Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lakehouses following Medallion architecture principles (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).Define and implement data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured).Oversee the development of ETL/ELT processes, ensuring scalability, performance, and reusability.Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and BI developers to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.Drive data quality, lineage, cataloging, and governance best practices.Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using Azure DevOps.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and data engineers.Evaluate & recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks to support data strategies. Support pre-sales activities by preparing technical proposals, effort estimations, and SOW documents.Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to respond to RFPs and customer queries.Present technical solutions and value propositions to senior leadership and client stakeholders.Required Skills & Experience:12–18 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related roles.Strong hands-on experience in SQL, performance tuning, and optimization.Expertise in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and transformation logic.Solid understanding of Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, OneLake, etc.).Deep knowledge of Data Warehousing principles, star/snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling.Strong understanding of data pipelines, data integration from various source systems (ERP, APIs, Files, Streams, etc.).Experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Azure SQL DB, Blob Storage).Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, source control, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation (preferably Azure DevOps).Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI/Tableau/Qlikview.Understanding of data governance, security, compliance, & metadata management.Demonstrated experience in pre-sales engagements including proposals, RFP responses, SOW creation, and solution presentations.Preferred Qualifications:Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Architect).Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, dbt).Familiarity with Python, Spark, or Scala is a plus.Please share your resume at ria.chaturvedi@programmers.ai with current CTC, expected CTC, and notice period details.
