Job Title: Senior Software Developer for Custom Design and EDA Tool Development

We are seeking an exceptional problem solver, algorithm designer, and C++ developer with strong experience in EDA tool development and deployment. A background in custom design and layout creation is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design new solutions to high-value problems in Custom Design and Layout areas where existing solutions are lacking or insufficient.
  • Collaborate on flagship layout automation projects developed and maintained by local peers.
  • Improve existing systems and provide innovative solutions within Synopsys Custom products.
  • Work with corporate application engineers to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Write well-designed, well-tested, high-quality C++ programs that meet industry standards.
  • Contribute to design specifications and review code for peer members.
Requirements
  • Masters or Doctorate Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • 15+ years of experience in software development, including C++, TCL, Python, Linux, and build/review control systems.
  • Strong expertise in software design, data structures, algorithms, GUI/interactive systems, and event-driven systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of IC fabrication, CMOS circuit design, EDA flows, and solution deployment.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with EDA tools and flows.
  • Knowledge of circuit analysis, layout principles, and semi-conductor manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with advanced math, statistics, and machine learning techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively in a multi-geography, multi-cultural team.

Synopsys' Custom Design & Manufacturing business focuses on developing software solutions (tools, flows) for custom design, analog, and mixed-signal design. Our custom product is used extensively by our IP team for all their products. We collaborate closely with signoff extraction, verification, and simulation teams to create differentiated solutions for designing and verifying advanced silicon analog and mixed-signal designs. Additionally, we design next-generation processes and models required for manufacturing those chips, enabling our customers to optimize chips for power, cost, and performance and reducing project schedules by months.
