FM India located in Bengaluru is a strategic location for driving FM's global operational efficiency that allows them to leverage the country’s talented workforce and advance their capabilities to serve their clients better.Role Title: Senior Platform EngineerPosition Summary:As a Platform Engineer within the Platform Design and Build team, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining the foundational infrastructure that supports our hybrid cloud environment. This role is centered on Azure, Terraform, and Kubernetes, with a strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), platform scalability, and secure-by-default design. You will work closely with cloud architects, security, and application teams to ensure the platform aligns with the Azure Well-Architected Framework and supports enterprise-wide application delivery. Your work will enable consistent, automated provisioning of infrastructure and services, while ensuring compliance with governance and security standards. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure core services, Kubernetes operations (AKS), and Terraform provisioning patterns. You will contribute to reusable IaC modules, enforce platform standards, and support the evolution of our hybrid cloud strategy.Job Responsibilities:Operations: Completes backlog items daily. These activities include monitoring the backlog, working on backlog items, responding to incident tickets received from the service desk, processing change requests, troubleshooting technical issues, and escalating as needed. Provides support for business and technology initiatives that require assistance from automation teams. Maintains clear, concise, and accurate documentation for processes and configurations. Ensure documentation is kept current and in the proper shared, accessible location. Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.Development:Develop automated infrastructure, continuous integration / continuous delivery pipelines, service pipelines, and technology capabilities that drive application development velocity and improve access to infrastructure services. Supports efforts to improve all areas of pipeline automation and infrastructure services, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of FM's Platform capability.Consistently collaborates and works effectively as a team within Automation Services and other groups to accomplish goals & objectives.Security:Maintains familiarity with FM security standards and ensures that technologies and security policies are implemented to support those standards. Communicate any identified gaps to peers and management promptly. Stays aware of changes in the FM implementation of automation, CI/CD, and Platform areas. Identifies ways for FM to make improvements to ongoing security practices.Skill and Experience:3-5 years of experience required Additional Experience Qualifier (optional): 3+ years of modern application development experience with large-scale business applications in a fast-paced, iterative development environment. 3+ years of experience in public cloud 3+ years designing, developing, and implementing business applications from business concept to production. Skillset required: Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Terraform Enterprise Cloud for CI/CD and infrastructure automation. Proficiency in at least one backend language (C#, Python, Node.js, or Go). Strong understanding of Azure services (AKS, Front Door, App Gateway, Traffic Manager), containerization (Docker, Helm, Nginx), and cloud networking. Familiarity with observability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk) and security tooling (Veracode, Sonarqube, Kyverno, Palo Alto).Must Have Skills:Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Enterprise Cloud)Kubernetes and container orchestration (AKS, Docker, Helm)AzurePython OR Bash OR PowerShellOctopus OR Azure DevOps OR GitHubEducation and Certifications:4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree.
