Job Overview:We are looking for an experienced

Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

to join the infrastructure team of our client. This role will focus on ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems while automating deployment processes and improving the overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GCP services and familiarity with Concourse for CI/CD.At SG Analytics you will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and scaling our client's cloud infrastructure while ensuring uptime and stability. You will collaborate closely with DevOps, engineering, and product teams to optimize our systems, automate processes, and drive reliability improvements.

Key Responsibilities:System Reliability & Monitoring:

Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of our GCP infrastructure and applications.Cloud Infrastructure Management:

Manage and optimize cloud services on GCP (e.g., Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Pub/Sub, etc.).CI/CD Automation:

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Concourse for automation, continuous integration, and deployment.Incident Response & Troubleshooting:

Respond to production incidents and drive post-mortem analysis to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.Capacity Planning & Performance Optimization:

Monitor resource usage, anticipate system bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning and capacity planning strategies.Automation & Scripting:

Automate manual processes using infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager).Collaboration:

Work closely with development teams to design and deploy reliable and scalable applications.Documentation & Reporting:

Document best practices, system configurations, and operational runbooks to ensure effective troubleshooting and knowledge sharing across the team.

Required Qualifications:Experience:

4+ years of experience in

Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related field.GCP Expertise: Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, etc.Concourse CI/CD:

Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Concourse.Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code:

Proficient in automation and scripting using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.Containerization & Orchestration:

Strong knowledge of container technologies (Docker) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).Monitoring & Observability:

Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring, or other observability platforms.Incident Management:

Strong understanding of incident management processes and experience responding to production issues and ensuring resolution.Coding Skills:

Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Bash, etc.) for scripting and automation tasks.

Desired Qualifications:Cloud Security:

Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments (IAM, network security, encryption).High-Scale Systems:

Experience managing highly available, distributed systems in a cloud environment.Collaboration Tools:

Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Slack, Git, and GitHub.Agile Methodology:

Familiarity with agile development processes and collaborative workflows.
